We are excited about this year's Spring Book Fling (SBF2022) which will be held May 20-22, 2022 with in-person and virtual events that include national and local authors, book clubs, readers and community. Activities include Children, Adult Fiction & Non-Fiction Author Presentations and Meet and Greet, Book Clubs, Authors and Readers Meet Up, Writers Workshop and more!
The event will kickoff Friday, May 20 with virtual events - Book Clubs, Authors and Readers (BAR) Virtual Meet-Up Happy Hour at 6p and Conversation with Reshonda Tate Billingsley hosted by Arlington Texas Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. at 7p. Saturday, May 21, Spring Book Fling opens with a Writer's Workshop at 11a with Dr. Shewanda Riley followed by lively and engaging Children and Adult sessions with authors presentations and meet & greet from 12-2. Plus, there will be a special Mental Health Moment at 2p in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, followed by the Malcolm X Celebration featuring national Poet Talaam Acey from 3-5p. The SBF will close out on Sunday, May 22 with Faith and Inspiration at 3p and Anniversary Concert 4:30p. Saturday and Sunday events are in-person and virtual. Do not delay - Register Today!
