Ashley Carr, a Dallas native and the oldest sister of Atatiana Jefferson, is a Special Revenue Senior Budget Analyst at Houston ISD. Ashley Carr received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas Southern University. After being a secondary math educator for 7 years. Ashley Carr obtained her Master of Science in Finance from University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas while continuing to educate high school students in urban communities. Ashley Carr’s is a graduate of the TASBO Emerging Leader 2019 Cohort, and obtained the education finance certification from Georgetown University among other distinctions in the field. Ashley Carr is an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Ashley is a co-founder of “The Atatiana Project”, a non-profit whose mission is to exposed youth in urban communities to S.T.E.A.M. as well as a co-founder of Sisters of the Movement, a nonprofit made up of sisters who have lost siblings to police brutality. |

Amber Carr is Atatiana Jefferson's sister. Amber is the mother of Zion and Zayden. Amber is the owner and operator of Nailed by Amber K. Amber Carr is also a certified medical assistant in the state of Texas. Amber has survived two major heart operations since 2016. Amber is apart of several nonprofit: Atatiana Project, a nonprofit dedicated to exposing youth in urban communities to S.T.E.A.M. Sisters of the Movement, a nonprofit made up of sisters of police brutality victims that have a common goal to reform laws that affect our community. We are Her, a nonprofit which focuses on mentoring young women from elementary and beyond college. |
