When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
It was a prophecy 3 years ago, and I accepted the call.
What do you hope to achieve with your readers?
I hope to empower and to inspire them; bringing them closer to Jesus at the same time.
How long does it take you to write a book?
When the Holy Spirit gives me the Word to do so, usually around 3 weeks.
What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
My work schedule is the same; 9+ hours, however I will work on the the book for hours, non stop.
Are you self-published?
No, I have two publishers that I use.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
I get inspiration from the Holy Spirit and from my life's struggles
When did you write your first book and how old were you?
2019 - I was 45 years
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
The most amazing thing I learned was that creativity is endless. I was able to create my story on pages that were living. The beauty of writing is that is an expression of who you are. There is no right or wrong answer, it's just you and your thoughts. Your world and your imagination.
How many books have you written? Which is your favorite and why?
I've written 1 book, 1 workbook and 2 journal. I don't know if I have a favorite. They all are my babies and I can't choose between them because they serve the same purpose but in a different way. What I can say is the more I write the more fearless I am becoming.
Do you have any suggestions to help the inspired writers become a better writer? If so, what are
My suggestion to other writers would be to just be yourself. Don't write for fame, fortune and recognize. Write because you love to write. Write because it is a passion and a calling. When you write because you love it, you will always love to write.
Do you hear from your readers much? What kind of things do they say?
Yes, I hear from my readers. They form women's reading club and Bible study with my book. I get inboxes and Facebook request from women telling me how much their book has helped them through so many things. They have asked for mentorship and friendship through my writings.
What is your target market, who is your ideal reader?
My target audience is young women and adult women. I want them to know that they are more than who they think they are and that GOD has a plan for their lives.
When will we expect your next book to be published, inquiring minds want to know?
The Real Talk Sis 30 day Journal is a 3 part series of books. They will be coming out the months of April, May and June.
